Welcome to the site for a beautiful holiday house at Bouillac in Perigord Noir, Dordogne
Le Bourg is a stylish and luxurious holiday villa, nestling at the edge of the tranquil hamlet of Bouillac within the Perigord Noir- Dordogne Region of France.
Whether you are wanting a base from which to explore one of the most picturesque and historic areas of France, or just to chill in beautiful surroundings, Le Bourg is the ideal choice.
Bouillac lies roughly midway between two small Medieval Bastide towns of Belves (7km) and Monpazier (9km) both listed as two of ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’. The historic and attractive towns of Beaumont (12km) and Cadouin (7km) with its famous Abbey, also lay just a short drive away along scenic country roads.
The gentle wooded hillsides that typify the local scenery are punctuated by small cultivated fields and gorgeous buildings ranging from majestic chateaux to crumbling barns. Every bend in the road seems to reveal either an ancient hamlet or field of sunflowers! Today, the Dordogne area is widely regarded as one of the prettiest parts of France, but during the Hundred Years War it represented the front line in the wars between England and France. The strategic importance of the area can be seen today in the many fine chateaux dating from this period for example Beynac (15 km) and
Castelnaud ( 16 km).
